DNA Test: Court orders substituted service on Mohbad’s wife

The Magistrate Court situated in the Ikorodu district of Lagos has issued an order for the delivery of notice regarding a pending DNA application to Wunmi, the wife of the late singer Mohbad, through substituted means.

This directive was revealed through a statement signed by Monisola Odumosu, a member of the legal team representing the Aloba family, on Wednesday.

Joseph Aloba, Mohbad's father, through the legal representation, filed an application seeking authorization to serve Wunmi by dispatching all the relevant legal documents pertaining to the suit to her last-known address.

The statement disclosed that the legal team contended that despite two attempts by the sheriff to serve Wunmi with the court documents, it was unsuccessful.

"The court-ordered service of the process on the respondent's last known address would constitute proper service, ensuring her awareness of the pending lawsuit," the legal representatives argued.

Consequently, the Chief Magistrate ruled that the respondent should be served by posting the court documents at her last known address.......
