American rapper Nelly and R&B sensation Ashanti are now engaged, and they are also anticipating the arrival of their first child together.
Ashanti revealed this exciting news during an exclusive interview with Essence Magazine on Wednesday.
"This new chapter of my life is a true blessing filled with love, hope, and excitement.
"Motherhood has always been a dream of mine, and to share this journey with my family, fiancé, and devoted fans, who have continuously supported my career, is an incredible experience," she expressed.
Ashanti and Nelly began their relationship in 2003 but parted ways in 2013. They reignited their romance in 2023, officially confirming their reunion in an Instagram post on Ashanti's birthday in October.
While this will be Ashanti's first child, Nelly has two children from a previous relationship. Additionally, he has two adopted children from his stepsister Jaqueline Donahue, who sadly passed away from leukemia in 2005.
