Alleged Naira abuse: Davido reacts to Cubana Chief Priest’s bail

Singer Davido has responded to the news of socialite Pascal Okechukwu, also known as Cubana Chief Priest, being granted a N10 million bail after pleading not guilty to alleged abuse of the Naira.

According to a report by HENRYSHUSTLE, Cubana Chief Priest appeared before Justice Kehinde Ogundare of the Federal High Court, Lagos, on Wednesday, following charges brought against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) related to Naira abuse. He was granted bail set at N10 million with two sureties in similar amounts.

Following his bail approval, the socialite expressed gratitude to his friends and supporters via his Instagram account.

He expressed feeling humbled by the trial and emphasized that it reaffirmed his resilience and stature.

In response to Cubana Chief Priest's post, Davido expressed disbelief at the possibility of his friend being imprisoned, stating that he couldn't endure six months without seeing him.

Referring to a recent incident, it's worth noting that Justice Abimbola Awogboro of the Federal High Court in Lagos sentenced the well-known crossdresser Bobrisky to six months' imprisonment without the option of a fine for his involvement in Naira mutilation.
